SALON GUIDELINES

As you may be aware, there are some strict COVID-19 Salon Guidelines that we will need to follow. Our ‘new normal’ may take a little getting used to.

I want to reassure you that I am doing everything I can to ensure you still enjoy a lovely experience in my studio, whilst knowing that you are in safe hands.

Safety is the most important thing, so I am taking every necessary precaution. I have been busy implementing these changes and would like to share with you our new protocols. I have a Barbicide certification for proper sterilization of tools and equipment and treatment room. I have devised a checklist protocol for cleaning and disinfection.

EXTRA CLEANING TIME

I have allocated extra time for each client to allow for a thorough clean down, sterilisation and disinfect of all tool, surfaces/door handles and bathrooms etc. between clients. Appointment time will appear longer on the online booking system to cater for this, adequate time is required for cleaning, new consultation and before and after photos

MASKS

I will be wearing masks and/or safety visors for each treatment. Fresh masks will be worn for each client. CLIENTS Please bring your own mask and wear you own mask/scarf throughout the appointment. Masks are available to buy for £1. Wearing your mask throughout is compulsory.

To assess protocols, adjust and to also minimise risk and contact.

CONSULTATIONS

Forms have been switched to digital you must complete new forms with new precautions upon arrival with auto signing. Aftercare instructions will now be provided electronically.

MANAGEMENT OF ILLNESS AND SYMPTOMS

I will not attend work if I have mild symptoms suggestive of COVID-19. Please do not come you your appointment if you or any family members have had any symptoms. If you have been affected, please will follow the government guidelines on isolation and only return after your isolation. If you are suffering symptoms you can reschedule free of charge. If you turn up with symptoms will be refused.

KEEPING A RECORD

I will be keeping an accurate record of anyone who enters the salon. This is in case anyone who has entered the salon subsequently tests positive for COVID-19, we would have a record of anyone they may have come in to contact with.

SANITISING STATION

As you walk in there is hand sanitiser station you must use to enter

HAND WASHING

After you have sanitized your hands, I kindly ask you to use the sink in my studio to thoroughly wash your hands for 20 seconds before drying with a paper towel.

PAYMENTS

I ask all my clients to pay by bank transfer in advance to avoid handling cards, cheques or cash thus reducing the risk of spreading infection. Payment must be made before or at the appointment not later that day.

TOWELS AND LAUNDRY

To remove as much risk as possible I am avoiding the use of towels or bed covers. I can no longer cover you with a blanket, please bring your own.

MY UNIFORMS

Fresh work attire will be worn every day and laundered at 60 degrees Celsius. I will also wear either a wipeable apron or a disposable apron.

PAPER TOWELS

Paper towels will be supplied in replacement of hand towels in the bathroom and the studio.

SOFT FURNISHINGS

Soft furnishings such as cushions and blankets will be removed or covered where possible. I can no longer cover you with a blanket, please bring your own.

BEVERAGES

Unfortunately, hot, and cold beverages cannot be offered. You are more than welcome to bring your own beverage

CHILDREN

Clients and myself only. I kindly ask you to Please come alone to appointments, no family members, friends, or children should attend the appointment with you.

RESTROOM

Please refrain from using the house toilet. I would advise you to limit coffee or beverages before your appointment and to use your bathroom before you leave.

ARRIVAL

I would like to kindly ask you to arrive at the exact time of your appointment. If you come too early or too late it may mean running behind or losing clean down time in between clients. If there is a car behind my navy car then I am still with a client and will not be long. If the door is closed, I am still with a client and will not be long. If the door is open you can enter, I have a ring doorbell that in censored so do not have to touch the button. Try to bring as little as possible.
