Microblading is a permanent make up technique using a handheld tool to create Hairstrokes ,tiny precision hyper realistic eyebrow drawings of hair strokes. Pigment is implanted in the channels created by the microblade into the dermal layer of the skin. Microblading gives a natural finish, mimicking your eyebrow hairs and in the same direction as your hairs.
Permanent makeup is referred to as cosmetic tattooing and micropigmentation. It is a method of inserting pigment into the skin to enhance your eyebrows . It helps replenish what has been taken away, provides symmetry and gives you back time you would normally spend applying makeup. It is ideal for clients allergic to conventional cosmetics, those with visual impairment, those who have unsteady or arthritic hands and for everybody who has difficulty creating brows themselves.

The first part of the process is a consultation. This is normally done as part of the initial treatment but can be done separately. This is very much a two-way conversation where I listen, respond and advice. Depending on the look you are trying to achieve. It is possible to achieve the most natural of finishes or bolder brows.
After the consultation I use a colour guide and match up your pigment which we agree on together. I then measure and draw on your brows according to facial morphology and the golden ratio creating symmetry. I will not begin to tattoo until you are completely happy with the pr drawn shape. The sensation of microblading feels and sounds like a scratch. You are numbed throughout to reduce discomfort, but pain threshold varies from person to person. You may experience a tolerable degree or scratching and pricking. It can also make you feel like you want to sneeze. I will always work with you at this stage and give you breaks if needed. This stage can take 60 to 90 minutes. Immediately after the treatment your brows will feel tender and swollen. They look 30 percent darker than the colour chosen in the consultation. This is normal and not an indicator of the healed result. Your brows will also look warmer and more prominent straight after treatments but the colour cools when healed and they will not heal so bold.
FOR 10 DAYS avoid all creams and products apart from the one provided, avoid make up , avoid getting them wet, avoid sweating and exercise ,long hot showers or baths, sauna, facial and steam as this will draw the pigment out effecting the result and also increase the risk of infection. The healing balm provided can be applied daily up to 1- 3 times a day until healed. Use a fresh pillowcase and sleep on your back whilst healing as not to knock off the scabs.
FOR 30 DAYS avoid sunbathing, solariums, light therapies as they will fade your brow. Facial peels or laser because they will destroy pigment and cause a burn, Antibiotic or hormonal therapies as can affect longevity.
Always protect your brows from the sun with SPFS once they are healed, to help with longevity.
Colour boast appointments are required every 6 months – 12 months you will need to complete the microblading procedure entirely as the pigment natural exfoliates up threw the layers of the skin and is also faded by external factors, the sun and exfoliating products. Even if it has not gone entirely a freshen up of the colour is needed as brown is a secondary colour and the breakdown of the colour can result in a warm or cool hue.
Keep on top of regular maintenance by removing stray hairs, return for monthly Brow wax appointments, it will keep your brows and shape neat and tidy. Because the pigment is implemented under the skin it does not colour the hair. If your eyebrow hair naturally lightens return for a brow tint every 6 weeks.
You can still touch up microblading with make up after they are healed using a Brow pencil and browhighlighter.
DAY 1- 4 Brows will be 30 percent darker, thicker, sharp, more detailed and may look warmer, the area will be red, swollen, and tender.
Day 4-7 Scabbing and flaking starts as it effectively a cut healing. It is important not to the rub pick or peel and off the scabs or knock them off when applying the aftercare cream. If you do so it can cause loose of pigment and even scaring. Remember only a tiny amount of ointment it should barely be noticeable on the skin.
Day7-14 Brows will be much lighter. The healing process will inevitably involve loss of pigment because your body is trying to heal and there is something foreign in it. Trust the process.
Day 14-28 Your skin is completely healed. Colour intensity comes back threw and will be ashier but may still be patchy in areas, hairstroke detail is more fuzzy.
Day 42 A touch up is recommended but not required, like painting a wall, it looks better with a second coat. Some clients hardly lose any pigment retention, some loose patches, some only hold up to 40 percent so the whole brow may need going over again. Everyone heals different. The touch up takes 15-60 mins depending on what has held. Healing after varies on how much has been touched up. Hair strokes hold differently on everyone and I cannot guarantee they will stay as sharp and detailed hairstrokes , they can merge an look more like a powder brow especially if you have oily skin.
